A young girl of 15, living in London, is angry and disillusioned, bullied by her stepmother. She decides to run away from home. She travels alone across Europe by train in search of her maternal grandmother, who helps her to find love and acceptance, in a new culture and language. Eventually she understands and forgives, and finds happiness. This is a story about the inner pain and growth of a teenager, who eventually finds herself. Suitable for girls aged 13+.
