Ronicky Doone

Autor Max Brand
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 25 iun 2020
In the American frontier west, reputation is hard currency and a steady hand decides the law. This is the Old West. Max Brand brings hard-edged suspense and swift moral reckonings to Ronicky Doone, a classic western novel where courage is measured under pressure and choices carry a price. Written by one of the defining voices of pulp western classics, this Zane Grey-style western delivers western adventure fiction at its leanest: vivid landscapes, clipped dialogue, and the pull between cowboy honor and duty and the darker urge for payback. Without leaning on melodrama, Brand sharpens the genre into a gunfighter justice story that weighs loyalty, identity, and the cost of violence, making it as satisfying for casual readers as for western fiction fans. As a landmark of early twentieth-century popular storytelling, Ronicky Doone sits in the tradition that shaped modern westerns, capturing the myth and grit of the old west frontier while remaining rooted in human stakes. Collectors will value its place in the canon; newcomers will appreciate how it reads today. Whether you seek a frontier revenge tale or a quieter meditation on responsibility, this unabridged classic edition keeps Brand's pace intact. Ideal for western fiction fans browsing for a public domain western ebook with authentic atmosphere, it ranks among American frontier west enduring favourites. Republished by Alpha Editions in a careful modern edition, this volume preserves the spirit of the original while making it effortless to enjoy today - a heritage title prepared for readers and collectors alike.

Notă biografică

American author Frederick Schiller Faust (May 29, 1892 - May 12, 1944) is best known for his Western novels written under the pen name Max Brand. For a collection of pulp fiction stories, he (as Max Brand) also invented the well-known fictional character of young medical intern Dr. James Kildare. Over the next several decades, his Kildare character appeared in a variety of other media, including a number of American theatrical films by Paramount Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), a radio program, two television programs, and comic books. George Owen Baxter, Evan Evans, George Evans, Peter Dawson, David Manning, John Frederick, Peter Morland, George Challis, Peter Ward, Frederick Faust, and Frederick Frost are some of the other aliases used by Faust. For Argosy magazine, Faust wrote the "Tizzo the Firebrand" series under the pen name George Challis. Taking place in Renaissance Italy, the Tizzo saga was a collection of historical swashbuckler tales starring the title hero. When Faust, Frank Gruber, and coauthor Steve Fisher were at Warner Brothers at the beginning of 1944, they frequently engaged in idle talk in the afternoons with Colonel Nee, a technical advisor dispatched from Washington.
