Notă biografică
Liz Drew is a published writer and educator who has spent many years teaching cultural and art histories and English Literature. An award-winning course leader for research methods on BA and MA programmes at Birkbeck, University of London, she is now Course Director for BA (Hons) Literary Studies and Creative Writing at University of Suffolk at East Coast College, and an associate exam board examiner. Her PhD on British Documentary Photography and Eco-criticality emerged from an abiding fascination with aesthetics and the environment. Liz lives on the Suffolk coast, where shoreline walks and sea swimming feed her current project: historical fiction sparked by images glimpsed during the closing of an overlooked archive.
Sukey Parnell Johnson is a visual artist, actress, and Research Associate at the University of West London. She previously taught at King’s College, London. Specialising in the representation of age in photographic portraiture, she holds a PhD by practice in photography from the University of West London, Hagging the Image: Challenging the Role of Photographic Images in Contemporary Narratives of Ageing Femaleness in Anglo-American Culture (2018). Twice a finalist in the Taylor Wessing Photographic Prize, two of her portraits are held in the National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection.

Previous teaching includes as lecturer at the University for the Creative Arts. Her practice engages with photography, moving image, architecture, and site-specific installation.
