Red Verdict: A Nora Carleton Legal Thriller
Autor James Comeyen Limba Engleză Paperback – 25 mar 2027
THE MURDER OF THE YEAR. THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY.
An influential defense company executive sits down for dinner at an exclusive restaurant in Manhattan. It's the last meal he will ever eat.
The food was spiked with Novichok in a hit that suggests Russian involvement. It sends a chilling message to the FBI - but what, exactly? And why kill this man now?
Deputy US Attorney Nora Carleton launches a criminal investigation into the most dangerous individuals she has ever faced, putting herself and her family in the crosshairs of forces determined to keep their secrets buried.
If she can't land a guilty verdict, she risks losing more than her life - the security of the entire country will be compromised.
A gripping, expertly realised thriller perfect for fans of John Grisham, Harlan Coben and Michael Connelly.

Captivating... proves just what a superb storyteller Comey has become
Engrossing
Delivers a courtroom drama up there with anything Michael Connelly or John Grisham might pen
A fine display... as the expertise of a former Director of the FBI takes readers through espionage and courtroom drama in an effective and succinct novel that deserves to do well
[A] cracking read... will no doubt attract further comparisons between Comey and legal literary heavyweights like John Grisham, David Baldacci and Michael Connelly.

Notă biografică
Since graduating from the College of William and Mary—where he was an award-winning journalist—and the University of Chicago Law School, James Comey has been a prosecutor, defense lawyer, general counsel, teacher, writer, and leader. He most recently served in government as Director of the FBI. His best-selling book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership was published in 2018 and was made into a 2020 television limited series. His second book, Saving Justice: Truth, Transparency, and Trust, also a New York Times best-seller, was published in 2021.
Comey is also the author of the Nora Carleton series of legal thrillers, inspired by his long and varied career, including his years as a prosecutor and his leadership roles at the FBI and the Department of Justice, as well as his work as the general counsel of the world’s largest hedge fund and the world’s biggest defense contractor. His standalone thriller The Weight of Evidence draws from his work as a federal prosecutor in Richmond, Virginia.
