Really, Granddad?
Autor Wayne Sherrarden Limba Engleză Hardback – 15 apr 2020
These are the tales of Wayne Sherrard. Some are homespun, workaday little family stories and some are far more dramatic - from encountering the vengeful side of gophers and discovering the personalities of cows to creating a (short-lived) teen pirate radio station and fighting to get maple tree sap. The settings are fascinating rural locations in the Canadian Maritimes, Ontario, Europe, Alberta, and Canada's Arctic. They succinctly capture memorable moments of life for a boy growing up in an air force family during the fifties and sixties and entering young manhood in the 1970s.
Really, Granddad? is a collection of fifty very short, highly entertaining, positive stories for both children and adults. This book chronicles the arc of a mischievous little boy to a young man of ethics, and celebrates the power and beauty of family love across the generations.

Notă biografică
Wayne Sherrard grew up in a Royal Canadian Air Force family and lived on seven different military air bases before he turned eighteen. He became a Queen Scout as a teenager and grew up to become an electrical engineer, which often took him into Canada's fascinating, beautiful, and unforgiving Arctic. While running a high-tech manufacturing company, he began writing manuals for his products, fell in love with writing, and started to study creative writing and read the great authors. When he's not writing and reading, he's painting contemporary art, which you can find at www.waynesherrard.com. Wayne is now retired from engineering and lives in Edmonton, Alberta with his wife and muse Eileen, with whom he shares three adult children and three grandchildren.
