Notă biografică
Robert J. Suderman, D.Th., has a long history (over 5 decades) of continuous work in the church and its varied ministries. This includes teaching, executive administration, international assignments, and pastoral training in more than 30 countries around the world. His ecumenical experience is evident on every page. He writes for the "church," not only for his own denomination. Before retirement he served as General Secretary of Mennonite Church Canada. Together with his family, he has lived in five countries. He is fluent in both English and Spanish languages. With Irene, his wife of 55 years, he now enjoys retirement in New Hamburg, Ontario. Suderman has been a tireless proponent of the church, arguing for its central importance in the biblical witness. In this crisp but substantial study, he proposes to trace "the biblical trajectory and wisdom undergirding the nature and vocation of the church." This is robust and compelling ecclesiology, accessible to all.
