Notă biografică
A native of New Westminster, Gogs Gagnon followed an early passion for computers by becoming a programmer and independent technology consultant. In the course of his career, he has developed software for Apple, IBM, and the government of British Columbia where he was the lead programmer analyst and data architect. Now, in addition to promoting prostate cancer awareness, Gogs devotes much of his time to writing. His next book is a coming-of-age memoir set in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia during the 1970s. The father of three children, Gogs lives with his wife and their two dogs in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, BC.

In 2017, at age 57, Gogs Gagnon, became one of the over 2 million Canadian men diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetimes. After his surgery and recovery, Gogs decided to share his story to inspire others to become their own health advocates. And to learn from his experiences -- what would he have done differently. Prostate cancer hits at the very core of manhood. Gogs reveals intimate details that everyone impacted by the disease -- man or woman -- needs to know. A deeply personal, first-hand account -- Interspersed with the occasional lighter moment. The book offers a route towards greater awareness of male health issues and their treatments.
