This volume represents an introduction to periodical B splines with emphasis on the Oslo algorithm and reflection on applications within the domain of Fourier analysis. Assuming only the elements of linear algebra and analysis, Ogland presents just the necessary Hilbert space theory and abstract functional analytic concepts before developing the use of periodical splines as a fine approximating tool.
