"There is a heart and a soul in this book that breathes in ancient harmony with rhythms past. In P."S. Pray the Same" for Me, Marquita Smith reaches back into her roots to draw prayers that speak simply yet brilliantly to everyday events in our lives. She speaks with a subtlety that is disarming, a simplicity that belies sacred wisdom lovingly and graciously culled from generations before her. She asks in return that they-that we-reciprocate, simply by offering our own prayers in return. By doing so, she says, we free ourselves, from old programming and thought patterns, connecting to our past so that we can begin to live, and thrive, in the present. Smith captures this richness in a way that is both gentle, and yet stunningly revelatory. And revel we do. This book is nothing short of enchanting."

"Unfinished Business" refers to wounds, beliefs and traumas that have been unresolved, in their entirety, from those who are out of our consciousness. This unfinished business gets in the way of our receiving, seeing and knowing all we desire.

Smith crafted a book of bespoke prayers to her female ancestors, asking to be released from her inherited baggage while simultaneously praying for their souls.
