They tell about five young boys who help win World War II; Lulu and her ladies of ill fame; Sister Bertha, a kind and gentle nun; Ya-nu, the Cherokee Bear Man; J.R., ranger and tracker in our search for a little boy lost in the Smokies; a mountain woman who exacts a terrible revenge; a folie a deux murder; the Ku Klux Klan's Hall of Fame Guidebook; the love of a former slave and an old confederate for one another; and many other fine folks who inhabit my land.
