The story of an ex-programmer who became a priest.
The author gets drawn into a Clandestine Services investigation of the global religious organization called the New Church. He assists the CIA by revealing the inside workings and secret documents of this Christian sect. A unique software invention that can crack any password on earth makes him a key player in neutralizing the church organization and its ties to the Swedish and European neo-Nazi movement.
At the same time this book depicts the author's spiritual search for inner meaning and purpose. In Denmark he comes across old teachings put to paper by Emanuel Swedenborg hundreds of years ago. In America he finds the spirit of freedom in the people, in Native American traditions, and in men's work. He gets ordained by the land, and then by the church. In Sweden he fights against religious conformity in the Swedenborgian church, a fight that he loses and then wins anyway in an amazing turn of events.

Emanuel Swedenborg was a mystic. A Swedish mystic. He first explored science, and later spirit. He admitted he could speak with angels and with people who had passed away. He could see events take place at hundreds of miles of distance. He traveled to other planets in his dreams.
He died in 1772. The religion built on his writings is called the New Church.
