Henry Hammond's life is turned upside down when a paternity test reveals that his son isn't his. Heartbroken, Henry returns home to Northstar hoping to find a little perspective. He certainly isn't looking for a new woman, but that's exactly what he finds when he meets the enchanting Lindsay Miller. They agreed to restrict their relationship to a one-night stand, but when Henry can't stop thinking about her, he heads to Lindsay's home in Indianola, Washington, to try to convince her there might be something between them worth fighting for.
