Cecelia Tishy is the author of several nonfiction books and articles, as well as the Kate Banning mystery series. She is the William R. Kenan, Jr., professor of English at Vanderbilt University, where she has won the university's prize for excellence in teaching.

Introduces an engaging new heroine...Tishy does a good job conveying the feel of contemporary Boston.
With just the right degree of psychic intercession, Tishy neatly interweaves the disparate threads of her newly divorced, forty-something protagonist's life. An appealing mix of foolish enthusiasm and derring-do, Reggie makes a reasonable credible and quite likable amateur detective.
