The book titled "Neurotoxicology" elaborately deals with the toxic effects of pesticides and insecticides used on the plants by farmers in massive quantities to be absorbed by the plants, and the minute quantities left unabsorbed by the plants prove harmful to animal, bird as well as human life. To counter the harmful effects of accumulated toxic substance left over's on of the insecticides and pesticides a new chemical substance named 'Neonicotinoid' came to the fore. The new chemical substance is administered to the rats orally to studied the effect on the brain, LD50, behavioral tolerance, cholinergic aspects, non-cholinergic aspects and histopathology. The salient features of the book "Neurotoxicology" include, simple and comprehensive approach abounding with illustrations, tables and case studies chiefly in the Indian context.
