Recenzii
The word 'abandonment' feels scary to us until we realize we are surrendering ourselves into the hands of a good and loving Father. Chambers didn’t only write about abandon, he lived it, and his words reflect a sincere desire to give God everything. May we hear the invitation in these pages to trust God with all we are, and depend on Him for the strength to follow where He leads.
I received my first copy of My Utmost for His Highest as a graduation gift in 1990. After 30 years, my copy is well used and often referenced. This Modern Classic Edition ensures future generations will have the opportunity to be impacted by this foundational spiritual formation masterpiece that has already impacted millions of lives.
My Utmost for His Highest is arguably the greatest devotional classic of all time. That was the evaluation of Billy Graham, and after using many other good resources, I've always come back to this remarkable collection of chapel talks by Oswald Chambers at his Bible college in England. I used it regularly as a powerful spiritual prompting for my university top leadership team for 19 years and as I mentored dozens of student leaders. It probes deeply. Exalts Christ. Compels us to give our utmost for His highest. I commend this new classic edition with highest regards.
