This book offers a variety of movement activities, in the form of games and skills, for all those involved in educating children through movement. Written primarily for those working with children with learning difficulties, the practices can be adapted and modified to accommodate a wide range of ability, making it suitable for both teachers in special schools and those in mainstream education with mixed ability classes. The activities are clearly outlined and suggestions for equipment and possible variations are provided, together with analyses of the use and value of each exercise. The warm up games and skills may generate further investigation into physical activity and give access and opportunity to all children, whatever their ability, to become literate in movement.
