Notă biografică
Dr. Takao Hanawa was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1957. He was Professor of Institute of Biomaterials and Bioengineering, Tokyo Medical and Dental University since 2004, and retired in 2023. He is Professor at Osaka University and Kobe University. He is also a Council Member of the Science Council of Japan. He has studied and developed new alloys, new manufacturing processes, and new surfaces for medical devices, and the biocompatibility mechanism of titanium.
Descriere
This book was written with the goal of helping students learn the essentials of metallic biomaterials and acquire knowledge that can be applied in a progressive manner. The target audience for this book are students, graduate students, engineers, doctors especially dentists, and others who need knowledge about metallic biomaterials.
