Marina Polvay spent time in Peru writing and filming a travelogue, which allowed her to meet chefs, restaurateurs, and natives who gave her their treasured recipes. She has a degree in nutrition from Innsbruck University in Austria and attended the Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland. She is the author of numerous cookbooks, including the award-winning All Along the Danube (Hippocrene Books). Her articles have appeared in Gourmet, Town and Country, Bon Appetit, Family Circle, and Epicurean. She resides in Aventura, Florida.
