This manual aims to present an overview of the research on translation studies carried out in Romance-speaking countries. It mainly focuses on the Romance languages, but also takes into account other languages as well asgeneral aspects, e.g., theoretical (models and theories of translation), linguistic (vocabulary, syntax, prosody), discursive (cohesion, coherence, genres), historical (the role of Latin), or practical questions (dubbing).
