Lost in the Light: Matthew James Publishing

A missing woman, a mutilated victim and a conspiracy deep within the levels of power...

When Detective Inspector Krystal Roark returns to duty, she expects a slow reintroduction. Instead, she's handed a case that makes no sense: a severed finger, a living victim, and a story that doesn't add up.

Detective Constable Florence Knight is supposed to be recovering. Instead, she's tackling something far more dangerous - an underground trafficking network providing vulnerable women to powerful clients. As her investigation develops, Knight makes a decision that puts herself and others in danger.

As bodies surface and whispers spread of a brutal enforcer, Roark and Knight find themselves pulled into overlapping cases. Each thread leads higher - into wealth, power, and a circle of men who will protect their secrets at any cost.

What begins as a simple investigation becomes something far darker.

To save a life, Roark and Knight may have to expose everything. And some truths were never meant to be dragged into the light.

A dark and twisting sequel to Down in the Attic pulling DI Roark and DC Knight into another thrilling psychological rollercoaster filled with buried secrets and deadly consequences.
