Looking For LeBarons is the story of Karen Basli's journey while discovering the family history of the descendants of Dr. Francis LeBaron, particularly those descended from his son James LeBaron of Middleborough, Massachusetts. It covers nine generations of LeBarons and also includes extended families such as Hitchcock, Bush, Wilder, Eames, Hovey, Johnson and many others. Looking For LeBarons is not a genealogy register, rather a story of the migration from Plymouth Colony to Sheffield, Massachusetts and upstate New York before migrating to the Eastern Townships of Quebec when the British Crown was granting land. It goes on to describe why some descendants left Canada and settled in Sonoma County, California. The story is rich in American and Canadian history and contains the historical highlights of each generation, as well as, many biographical sketches of certain LeBaron descendants. The book is also a great road map for beginning genealogists. It contains approximately 350 images in full color.
