Andrew Collins, a young man of intelligence and invention, has traveled across the world to the Galapagos Islands, only to have his ship taken over by pirates in search of a mysterious sunken treasure.

The head of these pirates is none other than the infamous Captain Cut-Throat Taylor, known as a devil among men. After telling a white lie to save his skin, Andrew is now in the clutches of this pirate until they reach the Leewards--a decision Andrew quickly learns comes with some unforeseen consequences.
