Notă biografică

Mr Zaid Shalchi is a consultant at the King Edward VII Hospital (Windsor) and Royal Berkshire Hospital (Reading). He was previously honorary consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He specialises in cataract surgery, medical retina and uveitis.
Mr Shalchi graduated from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine in 2007 and trained in ophthalmology at St Thomas' and King's College Hospitals before undertaking fellowship training in medical retina, uveitis and complex cataract surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He is member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth).
Mr Shalchi has performed research across the world which has been published in acclaimed peer-reviewed journals. He is a keen teacher and trains ophthalmologists at an international level at the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) as well as the European Society for Retina Specialists (Euretina).
