The central thesis of this book is that the most urgent thing in our generation is the emergence, in the Church, of men and women who know God and are walking with Him intimately on a daily bases. The author, Z.T. Fomum, boldly argues that anything a man can do for God is of no consequence if it is not done as an overflow of his knowledge of God. An initial encounter with God is indispensable, but beyond that, it takesspiritual knowledge, a high frequency, intensity, and a long duration of encounters between a man and his God to develop spiritual wealth. The author expands on the dulling impact of the world and the things of the world on the believer and his walk with God. This book is a pertinent plea that no one should serve God without knowing Him. It's highly recommended.
