Il y a quelques annees, un de nos amis partant pour la Suisse nous chargea de ranger des papiers qu il avait laisses a la campagne, chez sa mere, bonne femme peu lettree, qui nous donna le tout, pele-mele, a debrouiller. Beaucoup des manuscrits de Jacques Laurent avaient deja servi a faire des sacs pour le raisin, et c'etait peut-etre la premiere fois qu'ils etaient bons a quelque chose. Cependant nous eumes le bonheur de sauver deux cahiers qui nous parurent offrir quelque interet.
