Irritation and destabilization can unsettle established opinions, attitudes, and behaviors. The contributions in this volume seek to study this phenomenon further by examining a range of literary and vernacular texts, with particular attention to topics related to rhetoric and literary theory, as well as pedagogical and linguistic issues.
