Victoria Kennick is an independent scholar whose PhD came through The Committee on the History of Culture at the University of Chicago. After four degrees from that institution, Kennick spent decades teaching undergraduates a wide spectrum of religious traditions and devised graduate courses and written works to explore cross-cultural strategies of interpretation. Methodological inquiry begun in the doctoral thesis on Tibetan Buddhist biography matured into a stereoscopic view for the history of religions that balances analysis from the human and social sciences.
