Notă biografică
Danilo Pani, Ph.D., is an associate professor of bioengineering and head of the MeDSP - Medical Devices and Signal Processing Laboratory (medsp.it) of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Cagliari, Italy, where he also received his Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering. His research interests are in the field of real-time digital processing of bio-signals and medical devices. Main achievements regard fetal electrocardiography, unconventional biopotential electrodes and wearable electronics, cardiac electrophysiology, neural engineering, and telemedicine systems. Dr. Pani is co-founder of the IEEE Sensors Council Italy Chapter, a member of the IEEE EMBS and the Technical Committee on Therapeutic Systems and Technologies, and an appointed expert with the Independent Ethics Committee of the University Hospital of Cagliari, the UNINFO Committee for Medical Informatics, and the CEN Technical Committee 251, WG 2. He is active inseveral EU and national projects as PI or unit coordinator. Dr. Pani has been the general chair of the International Summer School on Technologies and Signal Processing in Perinatal Medicine (2018, 2021) and co-editor of the book Innovative Technologies and Signal Processing in Perinatal Medicine: Volume 1 (Springer, 2021).
Textul de pe ultima copertă
This book focuses on current and innovative technologies in perinatal medicine, specifically the period from the third trimester of pregnancy up to one month after birth. It follows the Second International Summer School on Technologies and Signal Processing in Perinatal Medicine (TSPPM 2021) and includes a number of master lectures presented at the school. The book aims to provide an overview of current data processing and machine learning approaches, with clear indications and exhaustive presentations on research trends in the field written by top scientists and researchers. It also presents the underlying clinical aspects and ethico-legal issues associated with the adoption of these technologies, particularly artificial intelligence tools.
Innovative Technologies and Signal Processing in Perinatal Medicine: Volume 2 provides students, researchers, and practitioners with the knowledge necessary to carry out basic and advanced research on the development ofperinatal medicine medical devices with a particular emphasis on software design and development.
