In his three decades of experience in the healthcare reimbursement business, Randall A. Simmons, M.Ed., C.R.C.R., has worked on both the provider side and the payer side. After earning a Bachelor of Science in psychology, Mr. Simmons earned a Master of Education in instructional technology. He also holds the Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification from the Healthcare Financial Management Association. After gaining more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Simmons established his own software company and developed proprietary software to process health insurance claims. He went on the develop computer and internet-based training programs for medical providers, as well as for large and small health insurance companies in North America and abroad. Mr. Simmons has taught in both the academic environment as a college workforce development instructor and at the corporate level in the medical and insurance fields. He also has developed numerous handbooks, guides and other teaching tools. Mr. Simmons brings his unique classroom manner to the printed page, making learning easy and fun.
