Notă biografică
Beth Castrodale is the author of four novels: Marion Hatley, In This Ground, I Mean You No Harm, and The Inhabitants. Her fiction explores the complexities of human relationships, family secrets, and the psychological tensions that emerge when the past intrudes upon the present. Her novel I Mean You No Harm combines psychological suspense with a compelling exploration of estrangement, reconciliation, and the enduring bonds between sisters.
A former newspaper reporter, Castrodale pursued her passion for literature through a career in book publishing, serving as a senior editor at Bedford/St. Martin's and founding Small Press Picks, a publication dedicated to discovering and promoting independently published literature. Her short fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals, including Marathon Literary Review, Printer's Devil Review, and Smoky Blue Literary and Arts Magazine.
Her debut novel, Marion Hatley, was a finalist for the Nilsen Prize for a First Novel from Southeast Missouri State University Press, while an excerpt from In This Ground was shortlisted for the William Faulkner–William Wisdom Creative Writing Award.
Castrodale lives in Boston, Massachusetts, where the atmosphere and history of her Victorian home provide inspiration for her writing.
