It's about living a lifestyle, thinking differently and choosing life over death. It's about choosing faith over fear and about trusting what you believe and know. It's about taking charge of the rest of your life, about viewing problems differently, about asking yourself if you are willing to change, especially if your life depended on it. It's about triumphing over trials, and daring to go against the common trends in cancer care and in life. It's about tears of joy and not defeat It's about LOVE, and divine intervention, and sometimes it's about standing alone, yet knowing that you are not alone, because your very best, most loyal and consistent friend is with you-GOD It's about ordinary women who let go and let God, women who now share their stories with you, so you too can let go, no matter what the trouble -health or otherwise- in your life I am not the first to be diagnosed with cancer, and unfortunately, I will not be the last; but for ordinary people like me and the women who shared their stories in this writing, who get the news of cancer, I want them to know that it is not a death sentence but rather a blessing, an opportunity to redirect their energies to better caring for and loving themselves. For me, I could not see it any other way. Yes, cancer kills and it is nothing to take lightly, but what kills us faster is where our minds -our thoughts-take us when the diagnosis is received. Some people receive the news that they have cancer and only a few months to live, yet they remain on the planet for many years after. Others may receive a similar diagnosis and die within days or weeks. What makes the difference? The deciding factor may be their spirit and their thought process: do they think it's over and their life is doomed, or do they think, "Okay, this is a huge challenge, but I want to live a long time, so I must go to work and begin the healing process with a strong team led by God."
