Recenzii
With a thorough focus on the research, this book serves as a reference on special and wide-ranging topics affecting contemporary adolescents, particularly with regard to current events, technology, and social media. It is intended for practitioners, educators, and parents alike, though readers must be cautioned that some topics suffer from a dearth of extant research (like the relationship between sleep and internet use). This means that few conclusions can be reached, but this volume highlights the need for purposeful study specific to adolescents and their unique challenges.
In the 2024 book How Technology, Social Media, and Current Events Profoundly Affect Adolescents, Mark A. Goldstein, MD, Chief Emeritus of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Mass General for Children, and MyrnaChandler Goldstein, MA, tackle salient contemporary issuesin adolescent mental health as well as biological and social problems. Clinicians interested in broadening their knowledge regarding adolescent health, stakeholders in the youth health space, and family would all benefit from the topics covered in this book. It provides insight into what problems plague adolescent health today.
