Through his imaginative works, Wells influenced generations of writers, artists, and even scientists. In this stunning leather-bound volume are collected six of his most famous novels: The Time Machine, The Island of Dr. Moreau, The Invisible Man, The War of the Worlds, The First Men in the Moon, and The Food of the Gods. A scholarly introduction examines Wells's life and literary achievements, and discusses how his works transformed the science fiction genre.
