George MacDonald was a Scottish writer and Christian minister. MacDonald's writings influenced many famous authors including J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and G.K. Chesterton. Macdonald's most famous works are fantasy and children books such as The Princess and the Goblin, At the Back of the North Wind, and Phantastes.
