Volume II of Edward Sapir’s Collected Works contains the re-edition of Sapir’s classic introduction to linguistics, Language, and some twenty-five articles on general, comparative and descriptive linguistics, including his publications on the African language Gweabo, on Judeo-German, and on English grammar. The majority of the articles are in the field of historical-comparative linguistics.
