Prof. D. Lalithakumari, Director, Centre for Advanced studies in Botany, University of Madras has spent 3 decades of teaching and research in the field of Plant Pathology and Microbiology. She graduated from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University with specialization in Plant Pathology. She obtained her doctoral degree at Louvain la Neuve Catholique University, Leuven, Belgium.
