THE SMALL SOUTHERN TOWN. The atmosphere is peaceful, quiet, friendly, and unchanged through the years. Little is required for a scandal, but past scandals are long buried and seldom referred to.

THE GROUP. They are six friends who have known and loved each other since childhood. The friends, three boys and three girls, are so close they shut out everyone else.

THE ROMANCE. One of the group suddenly finds herself the heroine of a fantastic Cinderella story when she is swept into the arms of a handsome, wealthy, and famous singer.

THE MURDER. They grieve not for the victim, but for the murderer. Can the friends stay close after the betrayal of one of their own, the most beloved member of the group?
