Following My Path

Autor Esther Maria Ritter Editat de Judy Ann Ritter
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 19 dec 2019
All her adult life, Esther Maria Ritter had been an activist campaigning for positive political and social change. But at the age of thirty-eight when she received the devastating diagnosis of ALS, Esther suddenly found herself at a crossroads. Somehow she had to overcome her fear of death to stay on her life's path. But could she really do it and, in the process, provide hope to others facing the same future? In a posthumous story of her journey through her thirties inspired by her diary and journal entries, Esther begins by leading others through her experiences that included living in a commune for three years where she was active in a grassroots anti-nuclear movement and other protests. But in 1985 when her life was suddenly turned upside down by her diagnosis, Esther faced a big decision. Could she somehow find a way to continue her path of activism and travel to both Mexico and Nicaragua while confined to a wheelchair? Following My Path is the compelling true story of a woman's quest to conquer her fears and continue a life of purpose after being diagnosed with a fatal, lingering disease.
