This is the story of an evil stepmother and her two sons preying on a young girl's love of her father's memory. Her father's dying wish was for her to marry one of her stepmother's sons. She doesn't want to marry either of the brothers, but feels required to fulfill her father's dying wish. Betty is lucky to meet up with Jane who helps Betty escape the wedding and make a run for her life.
