Ellen Sattler is a typical Midwestern girl with one exception?unlike her older sister, Brynn, Ellen was adopted into the family as an infant from China. While Ellen never struggled with feeling loved by her family or accepted by her friends, she often questioned her identity and the God that would choose to take her away from her birth mother.
