În domeniul sistemelor informatice enterprise (EIS), integrarea fluxurilor de date și optimizarea proceselor de afaceri reprezintă pilonii eficienței organizaționale moderne. Lucrarea ENTERprise Information Systems, Part I, coordonată de Joao Eduardo Quintela Varajao și echipa sa, compilează cercetările prezentate la conferința CENTERIS 2010, oferind o perspectivă tehnică și analitică asupra evoluției acestui sector. Considerăm că valoarea acestui volum rezidă în capacitatea de a îmbina teoria sociotehnică cu aplicații industriale concrete.

Subliniem faptul că, deși publicată sub egida Communications in Computer and Information Science, lucrarea depășește sfera pur teoretică. Reținem detalii despre managementul aplicațiilor mobile asistate de evenimente și evaluarea impactului EIS în organizații complexe.
