This book is concerned with the technology of photocopiers and laser printers. A concise description of the physics of the complete electrophotographic process is followed by an in-depth treatment of the three types of development systems (two-component, monocomponent and liquid) and their associated charging mechanisms. In the second edition, a discussion of color copiers and a chapter updating the original material were added. On mastering this material, the reader will have a working knowledge of the electrophotographic process and a detailed knowledge of its most important subsystem: development.
