Daniel Eberman is unusually gifted. He is a Tune Catcher and he hears music in everything. He also hears melodies which are trapped and he longs to set them free. Yet, first he must find the Music Man - the source of all music and life - and learn his song. Meanwhile, the Nokturn are rising and casting terrible darkness over the earth which destroys all life.
