Both a biting commentary on our 'skinny-obsessed' times and a wholly consuming thriller, EATING VERONICA stares our social fixation on size in the eye. Perfect for fans of Bunny, Nitghtbitchand Butter.
If asked to describe herself, Veronica Rivas would list so many adjectives ahead of the word 'fat'. And yet it seems to be the first that comes to mind for others.
That is until one night, after a shame-fuelled bout of binge eating, Veronica's body changes: Something clawed, wet, and ravenous has torn its way out of her - a physical manifestation of every ounce of pain and hunger she has ever suppressed.
Shortly afterwards, bodies begin appearing in Veronica's town. She knows she should tell the police about the horrifying creature that seemed to come from within her, but Veronica doesn't. Because with each kill, Veronica is getting thinner.
As the police up their efforts to find a link between the victims, Veronica must confront exactly how far she'll go for the body she has always craved.
