Notă biografică
Professor Uenishi¿s research focuses on the fracture dynamics of solid materials using applied and experimental mechanics. Besides finding a universal condition for earthquake rupture nucleation, he has clarified in novel ways the generation mechanisms of previously unexpected and unrecognized catastrophic fracture phenomena in the field of mechanics and geophysics. He is co-author of Handbook of Blast Engineering; Glossary of Geotechnical Terms; and Geomaterial Testing (all published in Japanese).
