Rikki Jo Neyer is a first-time author, artist, and wedding officiant who grew up in Chicago and now lives in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with her husband. She is the founder of Happy Beginnings, where she sings as brides walk down the aisle-and then she officiates the ceremony.For nearly a decade, she served as the primary advocate and caregiver for her mother following a traumatic head injury-fighting through a medical system that kept looking away while someone she loved slowly disappeared into an illness no one could name.Through it all, she has come to understand that beauty and suffering are not opposites-they are companions.Do You Believe in Miracles? is her first book.
