Recenzii
"One of the reasons I am enthusiastic about the Heiner reader is that the articles are more likely to capture the attention of undergraduates because of their cross-cultural content. We can learn a great deal about deviance in the U.S. by examining deviance elsewhere."--Mark Stafford, University of Texas at Austin
"The major strength of [this book] is the international and cross-cultural approach to deviance. The texts that I currently use do not adequately address this question, and yet the argument that deviance is socially constructed is one of the key elements of this course."--Karen McCormack, Wellesley College
"I believe Deviance Across Cultures will be welcomed by the academy as a carefully composed, much-needed expansion of the conversation on the subject."--Michael J. Bolton, Marymount University
