Carl Guiness' new found faith is put to the test when he discovers the ocean-side tavern he jointly owns with his wife is a front for illegal gang activity. Within days of contacting the local police to deal with this, an attempt is made on his life. Dumped in a river, left for dead, Carl quickly learns there are few he can trust. Fleeing to stay alive, he takes refuge in the nearby Gulf Islands, relying on divine guidance to survive.
