Leonardo da Vinci is bursting with ideas - paintings, inventions and dreams that soar higher than the rooftops of Florence.
But one morning, when he frees a colourful and clever parrot named Flora from a market stall, his imagination really takes flight. Together, Leonardo and Flora fill his studio with sketches, models and marvellous machines - from roaring lions to spinning screws. Yet one idea won't leave his mind: could a person truly fly like a bird?
As Flora flutters overhead, Leonardo studies her every move and sets out to build a flying machine. There are crashes, mishaps and laughter along the way, but with a little inspiration from his feathered friend, Leonardo finally discovers what it means to turn dreams into invention.
This uplifting tale of creativity, friendship and perseverance celebrates the power of curiosity, and shows that even the biggest ideas can take wing with a little imagination.
