Control Systems Engineering Principles and Practice:: Classical and Modern Control
Autor Akshya Swainen Limba Engleză Hardback – iun 2026
Control Systems Engineering Principles and Practice: Classical and Modern Control offers a balanced introduction to classical and modern control in continuous time, making it ideal for foundational courses. This includes a thorough exploration of classical control methods based on both time and frequency domain techniques including design of PID, and Compensators and presents state-space analysis and design in continuous time. The physical concepts associated with various commonly used terms such as poles, zeros, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, controllability, observability, non-minimum phase systems are thoroughly discussed. The book emphasizes a balance between theoretical concepts and practical application. This approach will enhance student engagement and prepare them for real-world engineering challenges. The author also integrates Matlab and Simulink interactive simulations to reinforce learning and facilitate experimentation. Pedagogical support materials, including lecture slides, instructor solutions manuals, are also available to adopting professors to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
This volume is designed to meet the educational needs of both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and serves as a valuable resource for researchers and engineers interested in understanding the basic concepts of control systems.
